I have signed the fatal motion on the code of practice.
The answers to the questions I raised below - and to those from other committee members - fell far short of anything workable, just or fair.

Today, @commonswec.parliament.uk will be questioning the EHRC on the new code of practice.

Wait is her justification for trans exclusion not contributing to violence from being in more dangerous situations that trans people won’t follow it anyway?

So seems like the EHRC advice is to ignore their advice.

I’m assuming it’s based on the fact that she knows her constituents and the kind of morals people willing to vote for her would have.
I have raised a formal complaint to the EHRC regarding Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson's conduct during yesterdays Select Committee. Laughing at concerns raised is unacceptable:
Willing to bet it was zero LGBT organisations but many many anti-trans hate groups pretending to be LGB groups.
Whittome highlights OEO impact assessment of sexual violence towards trans people.
Stephenson: Impact assesment went beyond code to legislation. 'No evidence provided for what might happen'. The code is not 'making the law but explaining the law'.
Stephenson: Talks about orgs needing to take specific legal advice, when they have particular issues.
Kirkpatrick: Compare a world without or with the code - in the latter more people can comply with the law and therefore not be subjected to litigation
