there were like two flies in the house a week ago and i've gradually evicted like seven flies and now there are still two flies in the house. what is going on. do not post that calvin and hobbes strip at me

i gave them some drops of sweetened water and they drank it but didn't really move anything but their proboscis. i left them with some shade but they were dead by morning. i buried them near some roses in the yard
