anyway i like to think they enjoyed having a sip of the purest fuckin sucrose of their life before they went haha. i don't know why the last place they landed was our front step but i hope they had a nice little moth life
couple weeks back we came home one evening to find a white-lined sphinx moth on our porch. they are huge (like 3" across) and pretty en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyles_l...
this one wasn't moving though. they weren't visibly injured so i don't know what the problem was. maybe just old age
i gave them some drops of sweetened water and they drank it but didn't really move anything but their proboscis. i left them with some shade but they were dead by morning. i buried them near some roses in the yard
