I'm inclined to think this is part of the Trump Administration's blatant bullying of Anthropic (and favouring other AI companies who bent the knee), rather than a response to any hooplah around Mythos. It's the Trump Admin being fascist, a day ending in -y.

sorry i know its fun to be conspiratorial about everything but let me tell you from decades of experience in labour, it's totally normal to put up a tarp for this kind of thing. Not everything has to be some grand, shady mystery.
