Given they have two options - ban usage or require providers to regulate content - it would have eased (but not entirely removed) the task of listing the platforms in scope if they had gone with the latter model. But that would have involved taking on the tech companies…..
It was one of those experiences that leaves one quite unsettled for days…. A similar practice I have come across are the so called witches bottles, ceramic bottles or jars which were filled with urine and walled up.
Would he have said that if still health secretary ? With a projected annual cost of £10bn for cost of obesity by 2035, this seems a sensible investment….
