Reportedly, Waymo shutdown in Miami and Houston today, prob bc of weather forecasts.
Most important job at Waymo may be meteorologist.
Yet another (117+) Wrong Way Waymo:
2nd St turning onto Townsend, San Francisco
SFFD HQ is the building on the corner it went around.
Most obvious video I've seen of the wide turns Waymo robots have been accused of making recently in some anecdotal social media posts.

An AVride "robotaxi" crash:
San Jacinto St at Arts Plz, Dallas, TX
"When I arrived in Dallas and called an Uber, for the first time an autonomous taxi showed up, so I hopped in excitedly. Then..." (Translated from Japanese)
OP: x.watarufunaki
AVride's NHTSA crash report expected mid-July/August.
fwiw, the Waymo robot also stopped in a No Stopping zone except by permit of SFFD.
Some scofflaw as an automated service are more thorough than others. Waymo ever the leader.
DUAI
a telop may've helped it & them escape
they may've called telops
maybe Waymo should geofence carwashes
Below might have been another recent too wide Waymo turn.
Waymo robots have made these turns ok so many times it is hard to understand how they could botch them recently/now, unless they botched a sw/behavior update, ie not regression as this appears to be a ~new defect.

Reminder, NHTSA is investigating AVride for "failing to slow for or avoid vehicles entering the lane and path ahead" that resulted in a crash.
Dallas is AVride's only public ridehail geo, AFAICT.

"Does it hear the ambulance? Does it listen? It does."

It presumably did and definitely did the/a wrong thing.
Notice it began the turn when the light turned yellow.
Waymo has a very general 'stop and go' problem. In this incident, a 'go' mistake.
