What’s happening at Covalen is about more than one workplace. As technology and AI continue to reshape the world of work, workers must have a real voice in decisions that affect their jobs, livelihoods and futures. The future of work cannot be built without workers.
Their campaign is built on three simple demands: Recognition. Respect. Security. They are calling for: ✊ Union recognition ✊ An end to the six-month cooling-off period ✊ Improved redundancy terms ✊ Better pay and conditions
Covalen workers have raised their voices against the unfair treatment they have faced throughout the redundancy process. Their determination, solidarity and courage have been clear for all to see.
Covalen workers carry out highly skilled work every day, including content moderation, AI training and testing, and reviewing content that helps keep online platforms running safely. Yet hundreds of workers have faced uncertainty, insecurity and redundancy.
Covalen workers welcomed as guests of honour @TresselFest with CWU’s Fionnuala Ní Bhrógáin speaking on ‘Union Strategy and the Crisis’ We must Rise, Organise, Unionise! #CWUIreland #Covalen
