The International Dispute Settlement class visited the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to experience first-hand international dispute settlement in action. We thank the Registrar, the Information Department, the Judges and Officers of the Court for the warm hospitality.
Time’s flying as we’re already now midway through Trinity Term! For this week’s PIL Research Seminar, we had Professor Irini Papanicolopulu present on the topic ‘Freedom of the Seas: A Principled Approach.’
For this week’s PIL Research Seminar, Dr Can Eken, an academic visitor at the Faculty of Law, presented on the topic “Confidentiality and Legitimacy in International Commercial Arbitration: Are They Mutually Exclusive?” followed by a discussion with our Research Group members.
We were very delighted to have Sir Tim Eicke KC deliver a presentation titled ‘The European Court of Human Rights: A Look Behind the Scenes’ at our second PIL Discussion Group for this Term. As always, our thanks also go to everyone who joined us in person and online!
