Yeah if you thought niantic wasn't selling that data or a byproduct for SOMETHING I've got a bridge to sell you but I admittedly did NOT assume military applications.
Although given Niantic's origin story maybe I should have. Keyhole had military and defense ties before Google acquired them, Google Geo retained those connections, none of us should be shocked that people who spent over 20 years working with the military on imaging continue to do so.
