Apparently it's based on LLM-simulated users (and LLM judges). I generally think highly of the FT's reporting but this is is nonsense
all of a sudden everyone who's been happily using the app finds that it sucks and of course it has been sucking and we now know the answer to a question we haven't been asking. reactionary revisionism is contagious here.
all night long meaningful and nonsensical questions alike turned around in my head about this paper, in a dream like state. kept searching for answers. woke up to figure out they're already answered in the paper 🤗

Edit buttons for social media are a terrible idea and people need to come to grips with the idea that platforms like Bluesky are for blasting it out there, quick and ugly. You wanna write a well-considered essay, take it somewhere else.
