I’m working on making some real life Minecraft blocks for a video and decided to use chalcopyrite as a raw gold. It’s always shown as iridescent but that’s just the patina. The fresh surface is similar to pyrite and other sulfides. Let’s see how long it takes to change color.

A male scissor-tailed flycatcher performs a remarkable courtship sky dance for the female below. For at least 1-2 minutes, he put on quite the display of intricate aerial maneuvers involving twists and dives that even left me in awe. They flew off together, so I think it worked for the lil guy! 🥹
