I'm not sure I understand the difference between "General" fiction and "Literary" fiction as far as submissions.
I'm guessing General is Literary that doesn't take itself too seriously?

The best thing about Big Ohio Book Con was, for the first time, ever, I don't hate myself after a direct-selling event. Did I blunder some interactions? Yes. But none so terribly I want to change my name and move to Tibet.
In my talk on Social Media for Writers, someone asked "What percentage of yourself are you online?"
Thing is, people are very good at telling if you're being fake. Don't. Just be you, 100%, authentic you. I only draw the line at hurting someone else's feelings.
