The grand palace of Neo-Assyrian king Ashurnasirpal II had a room completely decorated by these muscular eagle-headed protective spirits, accompanying the king.
Their name is unknown (afaik), and the cone in his hand is described in Assyrian texts as a purifier, to fertilize sacred palm trees.
