This is such a dishonest corporate media frame of both side-ism. According to the (billionaire/Republican-owned) Strib "MN politicians" broke their promise to "soften their tone." Which totally ignores (and excuses ) that the ugliest, most violent rhetoric consistently comes from.......Republicans.
ICE was back on my block in Powderhorn earlier today. I banged on their car windows again—like I did when they were here Friday—and they refused to roll them down.
I “human whistled” with my weee whooots and they left. Confirmed ICE via Signal.
Be outside and watching if you are able, friends!

This should be as big a story as "Fraud" - The corruption of #MPD starting with the person in charge, Mayor Frey, has been happening over and over. It is what force Betsey Hodges to resign. Why not Frey? Where is the accountability?
A dude with all of the connections and access—to privilege and the “right” people to push him through quickly—was going to be deported bc his “number” still didn’t come up random obstacle course lottery.

3. My neighbors have a deeply connected life here. One owns a successful local biz. The other works with nonprofits doing essential care for families and immigrant workers.
Their kids know no other home.
Four things to add:
1. My neighbors ICE is targeting have lived next door for 10 years. I’ve watched their kids grow up. They are a critical part of the community.
2. For folks saying call the cops: This is in Minneapolis. MPD does not protect us. They protect ICE and other federal agents.
