Remember that the NHS told trans kids, who were currently on endocrine care, that they would be allowed to continue.
Now it looks like they’re withdrawing that as well.
The NHS is a danger to everyone in the trans community.
If you’re afraid to talk to your friend or coworker or whatever about why enabling fascism is a problem, I think you need to work up the courage. Time to get braver, folks.
Useful advice apropos of nothing in particular: find your city's Reddit board. If e.g. a violent hate mob is moving through your city centre, you will know exactly where they are, what they're doing, and where they're moving. While your legacy media live stream will say "protest in the city centre."
So...the originators of the nudity detection software which UK gov mandated today say this is all God's doing, so it's a good thing there isn't a Christofascist regime anywhere looking for technology partners or anything like that. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkPm...

When Wes Streeting placed a ban on puberty blockers he said that those adolescents already receiving NHS care would not be impacted. He lied. Those young people are now facing forced destransition & forced enrollment in the new youth Gender Service which can only offer (conversion) therapy.
While I have no expertise in youth trans care, several of my closest friends & colleagues provide such care—& over & over they’ve explained to me how astonishingly cruel it is to deny kids this care. Forcing a child to be someone they are not, with the attendant suffering this causes, is inhumane.
It's a small thing but if Starmer and the UK Govt won't even leave the white supremacist propaganda platform, there's little help for them breaking with white supremacy anywhere else.
This isn’t Starmer “doing something” because he wants to; he’s doing this knowing it’s going to fall into Andy Burnham’s lap as his problem.
Also this is not a policy announcement, it’s a press release for the corporate vendors who lobbied the hardest.
