The UK could learn a lot from how recent crises forced the Polish and Italian militaries to develop a clearer sense of strategic purpose that enabled more effective use of their resources.
But that requires UK elites to abandon snobbery towards CEE and Med states that has persisted for centuries.
We need leaders who can spell out what's happening clearly and with force.

The Russian military can replace skilled drivers with unskilled personnel drafted into drive freight into a hail of drones. But that will affect the efficiency of supply chains and accidents or criminal diversion of supplies around vehicles like fuel tankers will get much worse
