It is utterly heartbreaking how Labour have wasted the first two years of a historic majority. They needed to do all the unpopular but necessary stuff at the beginning, weather the storm and reap the rewards by the time the next election came round. But the courage and purpose were simply not there.

Just a heard a Reform voter describe the effects of austerity on his town, and blame it on foreigners. Labour's failure to challenge the austerity narrative, and then the Brexit narrative, is coming back to bite us all.
Watching The Boys season 5 and thinking how appropriate it is that the USA's real Homelander is an obese, incontinent octogenarian.
