Considering Israel murdered and starved over 100,000 people within it's own nominal borders, with full US support, within the last 2.5 years, I'd say they're both not great, but yeah, anything that breaks the US and Israel's stranglehold on the region would be a good thing.

It's an obvious and direct connection between being willing to commit mass murder and ethnically cleanse entire areas, and creating refugee crises. Israel has demonstrated its willingness to do this repeatedly, to the chagrin of the region

Even though you're confusing Israel and the US with Iran (which between them have murdered millions more civilians than Iran ever has), Iran has solid realpolitik reasons for caring about Lebanon, as I outlined above.
