idk if anyone else feels like this but I don't like feeling like I'm performing with my characters being treated as media for others to consume
Making things about my personal OCs for myself is already enough, why do I need to share it publicly and make a whole story for strangers to be entertained

this is not about making comics or animations about characters this is straight up just me not feeling comfortable anymore with sharing writing & art on social media posts or their th/af bios
My characters have so much lore & my stories (Nonconformity & Uranium Rush) are so intricate but you're gonna have to pry that info out of my dead hands as I realized I hate sharing it because I just feel like I'm entertainment to randos rather than connecting with anyone anytime I share & it sucks

the only public place I feel comfortable sharing OC lore to is to my website. It just feels more personal to me. Like I can make a better connection on there.
I just want to share via zines too because it's also more personal...like you're getting a physical piece of me and my characters
There's nothing in the story to hide, there's no "spoilers", I'm not insecure about my writing not being good enough or whatever I just don't like sharing it. Sometimes I feel FOMO cuz everyone's sharing OC stuff but I don't like being treated as entertainment for something so personal as my OCs
