Look on the bright side folks, not only is Doctor Who still in production, we'll be getting a full 26-episode series for the first time since 1982. Roll on 2027!
Reading between the lines of RTD's post, I can only assume that the Christmas Special was just a placeholder to keep the fans sweet until the BBC made their decision. Presumably the three words he gave to DWM were just thrown in to keep the pretence going (and maintain that particular tradition).

I thought I'd share my 'Many Deaths of Doctor Who' comic strip again. It's a few years old but since Billie probably doesn't count and Ncuti is going to be the last "proper" Doctor for a while, it's technically still up to date.
