I try and keep my nose clean and not trash talk other folks in comics, it is unprofessional. But I am also a proud trans woman. And John Byrne has a long, repeated history of disgusting transphobic statements on the very personal forum where he posted these comics that are now being collected.
If it's a body attribute fox news has listed as disqualifying or pejorative for a trans person to have, it gets covered. I will die on this hill and I will take you all with me
My other hot take is in agreement with Abigail Thorne that Gender Dysphoria is kind of a baloney categorization. I think if a cis person experiences comparable agony about their body they can and should be able to assess and qualify for insurance covered surgeries just like we ought to
Sorry, I'm going to be annoying about this. Juneteenth is a wonderful celebration of the de facto ending of slavery (specifically in Texas), but on that day, there were still 100,000-200,000 people legally enslaved in loyal Union states. The Emancipation Proclamation specifically excluded them.
