In other news, there is one (1) store ob the internet that sells the particular dingus I needed to replace on these windows and … um … I bought the last set.
Here’s hoping I don’t need to do that again for a while.
I finally fixed the double hung, tilt window that’s been broken since at least 2021 and I’m planning to be insufferable about my household repair skills for at least a week.
With that, I'm going to go exercise before it gets too crushingly hot to do so. Then I'll go to Carnival, and hopefully see friends afterwards.
I encourage everybody to take breaks, find joy, and recover. We're in this for the long haul.

My grief for Aaron and his family persists to this day, though of course it's the kind of scarred over grief that one has after enough time.
Those scars in my mind ... trauma is what they are... they ache every time we talk about police and policing.
