For the completists, here are all the kits. Adidas designers are clearly a cut above Nike and Puma, although I also like Reebok's clean retro look for Panama and Umbro's patterns for DR Congo
This tool ๐Ÿ‘‡ by @johnholbein1.bsky.social et al. looks fantastic and very helpful to everyone who is conducting experimental research on racial/ethnic discrimination in the US.

Excited to share our new paper in @thejop.bsky.social with @krausewe.bsky.social! Parties polling just below an electoral threshold are far less likely to clear it: a self-fulfilling prophecy that diminishes when polls communicate uncertainty. ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ๐Ÿ“Š www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/10.1086/...

I now know the team my wife will be cheering for. Or rather, she would, if she cared at all.

Running an experiment to study racial discrimination? Going to use names to signal race? Here's a new tool! This helps you to choose the names you want to use based on: 1.) the strength of the racial signal you want to send 2.) whether you want to hold other factors (e.g., class) constant

New paper out in the @thejop.bsky.social (w/ @christinagahn.bsky.social) Do opinion polls shape election results? Using both cross-national data and a survey experiment, the answer we find is yes - though it depends on how we communicate polling results. www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/10.1086/...

Just need everyone to know that the Belgium men's soccer team has new jerseys based on the art of Rene Magritte and this is the official photo shoot

One of the many reasons I prefer latex/beamer for slides is that the presets put hard limits on how much can go in a slide The slides should have *less* information than your speech And remember to set that aspect ratio to 16:9 (the format of most projectors)

Keep text to a minimum. All slide text should directly connect to a statement/point youโ€™re saying out loud. Each slide should focus on a single task/idea/point. Donโ€™t cram too many steps into one slide. (6/11)
