But Sherlocking one of your few ecosystem members with business traction β at a community event where their logo is right behind you as a sponsor! β is at the very least hamfisted.
You donβt need to be maximally evil to FUD your own.
While it's true (and we should try to fund the actual people doing important stuff so they can, you know, pay their rent) it's also why this #ATmosphereConf was so different to some other conferences: money took the place it should always have, i.e. a tool to do great things, not an absolute goal π
whatever your thoughts on Bluesky and ATProto, I can say that having just spent the weekend hanging out with a ton of people involved with those projects in person, itβs a REALLY cool group. I do feel better about the future of the internet now.
