PowerWash Simulator: Bidet Edition seems like an obvious missed opportunity
Crikey, all I wanted was pixel perfect 3d lighting that supported 1000+ shadow casters in a scene and used a 2d editor and ran on 10 year old hardware at 60fps.
My lighting engine continues to evolve, and it's at the point where the rendering of the framework I was using has hit limitations. I need to bind one more texture than I can do to things in one pass and have good performance. So here goes. My own framework...
So it's time to build on it and keep as much of its amazing tech as possible while allowing more modern graphics targets. And so Snez is born...
This is basically a reimplementation of Nez with some more modern C# stuff, and getting rid of FNA code, because we're monogame all the way, especially with Vulkan coming soon. Thankfully Nez is MIT and I can use the existing code to verify the new code :)
So I was using Nez, which is EXCELLENT. Make content management, scene management, sprite batching... all the stuff just so EASY and it has great performance. Just, it's tied to 15 year old shader tech, because of limitations in the shader compilation monogame uses.
