And regardless of age, way too many of them either have a "peaked in high school" mentality or never outgrew their Mean Girls phase. The gossip, cliques, and petty drama can be downright embarrassing for a profession that's supposed to be built on professionalism.

After 15 years working in healthcare, one thing I've learned is that you see an unbelievable amount of ridiculously stupid moments involving nursing staff. A nursing degree doesn't automatically equal intelligence. You can teach skills and protocols, but you can't teach common sense.
