I just have to say, to anyone who might listen, that I am feeling SO deflated by use of AI.
Working all year to build trust, bolster writing skills, and try to be fully available… when students cheat themselves of learning through use of AI, I feel like I’ve failed.
I’ve created conditions where students would rather try to get an “easy out” than ask for help.
Where a grade feels more important than learning through mistakes.
I know I haven’t created these conditions alone, and yet I feel responsible.
