Organic synthesis went sideways; probably the FLP were too frustrated, so they bit off a ring from a couple of BARF-24 anions and glued them together with a hydrogen atom. This is a second example with such anion, first one is this one dx.doi.org/10.5517/ccdc.... #chemsky #crystallography
