For what it is worth, BJ and I have often pointed out how well writen the actual fat jokes are in this show when watching it. By and large (at least into season 3 so far) the humor has aged extremely well for the 90s.
Like, when Clerks transitions to Clerks 2 or if "the man" won in Empire Records, Waiting is for those of us who didn't have the good fortune of being a young adult in the '90s before corporatization climbed to where it would be and is now.
