I’m super supportive of ‘foot-ferry’ expansion, but they gotta make sense.
Kitsap runs a periodic festival day ferry b/w Bremerton and Silverdale. That same 5 mile distance is covered by 4 bus routes and 2 state highways.
Hmm. Guess not
Kingston is a tiny, unincorporated village in NE Kitsap County. Ferry-bound cars clog downtown and line up for over a mile at busy times, many running their engines the whole wait.
It’s a big problem and WSDOT’s fix is a bandaid.
Ditto Bainbridge ferry. Cars ruin everything
There’s another grey whale hanging out on Bremerton’s P. WA Narrows. Second this year. Third in three years.
If you’ve never seen a grey whale up close, come on over.
