Anyone interested in cricket stats should see women's cricket as a great area to get into, as it's still in the exciting, pioneering stage men's cricket went through a century or so ago - compiling and defining the foundational stats - combined with all the tools of the digital age.
So, if the ball, delivered by the bowler, not being a Wide, passes the striker without touching his/her bat or person, any runs completed by the batters from that delivery, or a boundary allowance, shall be credited as Byes to the batting side.
