A rare bird on the Alnmouth patch is the Whinchat, thanks to Ian Fisher for the shout. Here is a poor, but i think atmospheric, record shot.

The bird I wanted to see most on our recent trip to Malaysia was this, the Rail Babbler. This bird lives deep in the rain forest, easily heard but hard to see. Even though it was very tricky lighting, I feel I was very lucky to have got a picture of it, one out of a series 25!
Fortunately, we are heading the other direction!
Now, steady on Stewart, we are now away for a couple of weeks, so no finding magas with that John lad! ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„
