This is a brilliant –– and horribly timely –– interview with Daniel Trilling about the rise of the British far right
Find myself coming back to this recent Democracy for Sale interview with @trillingual.bsky.social a lot right now
The far-right has gone mainstream - and it hasn't happened by chance

I think the way the BBC discusses immigration and equality plays a part in the legitimisation of the far right. Once again I'm hearing the Today Programme on Radio 4 establish the riots and their prejudices as "real concerns." So I'm again sharing @trillingual.bsky.social's book, Tolerate This.
Some incredibly timely, if depressing, reading for the week ahead from @trillingual.bsky.social
Talking about IF WE TOLERATE THIS in Brighton on 18 June with City Books and Resonance FM's Ben Thompson. It will be a timely discussion, so please share with anyone who might be interested.

So glad that Luqman Saeed - an academic at Ulster University - has written this piece about the Belfast riots. I hope I could write this clearly and perceptively were I under similar pressure right now.

IF WE TOLERATE THIS is out today!
These are worrying times politically but if there's one thing I want to get across, it's that the slide into far-right nationalism is not inevitable.
