To celebrate Outdoor Classroom Day, Primary 2 and 3 took their numeracy learning outside this morning to practise skip counting in 2s, 5s and 10s.
Both P5 classes visited Duncarron Medieval Village near Carron Valley where we had two guides lead us through a selection of Roman activities. Great day, poor weather!
#P5S have recently been working in small groups to draw and paint giant Roman soldiers as part of our topic.
P7F are building rockets to launch!
#P5S created Roman Bullas using repurposed fabric swatches, thread and needles.

#P5S and #P5UA took our Roman learning outside where we practised the Testudo - a tactic used when laying siege to enemy fortifications. We used our trays as shields to protect ourselves from tennis balls!!

As part of outdoor learning day, #P5S practised times tables and number sequences through running races and worked together to assemble a jumbled story into the correct order. We also used flash cards to order into a variety of numbers such as largest, smallest, odd, multiple of ten etc…
P7F have been extracting DNA from Strawberries as part of our STEM day with Forth Valley College! Very cool!
