Northern Marsh Orchids starting to flower in my meadow this week.
Think they'd win for "Orchids Growing in a Straight Line" category 😀

Two not quite ready for tonight's #WildflowerHour
#OrchidChallenge
Budding Bee Orchid and possibly Heath Spotted
I've been following the progress of this Orchid since spotting the rosette next to the meadow path. Thought it was another Northern Marsh, but looks like it could be an Early Marsh-orchid with conical formation of the flowers around the stem.

My favourite find from yesterday's @angleseyfloragroup.bsky.social survey at RAF Valley #Anglesey
Gorgeous Kidney Vetch
#Wildflowerhour
Despite the forecast for rain today, it's been really sunny on #Anglesey which has brought the garden #Lizards out to bask.
Three gorgeous individuals spotted spotted just now.

Red Clover, White Clover, Lesser Trefoil, Bird's-foot Trefoil, Ribwort Plantain and a smidgen of grass
Perfect week for #Wildflowerhour
#OrchidChallenge with the Northern Marsh-orchids now full flourish in my #Anglesey meadow.
Last year I counted 350, think there's going to be far more this year.
We have two upcoming field trips over the next week.
One at a fantastic 'private' location that botanists usually can't access & the other at an #Anglesey fen to look for Orchids.
Locals and visitors welcome. Get in touch for more details if you'd like to join us.
