Daum #Museum of #ContemporaryArt, www.daummuseum.org/ #Sedalia MO Dr. Daum had great tastes, for artists who are so famous today. Good excuse to visit the Missouri State Fair nearby, every August, then escape the heat to Daum's aircon galleries.
Some army ants are extremely polymorphic. This photo shows a large soldier and a small regular worker of Eciton hamatum. If you saw them separately, you wouldn’t even think they belong to the same species. You might also notice the light color of the ants - both are callows / newly eclosed.

You think your life is 💩? Sure, amateur. This baby lives in a little wizard hat made of its own poo, then blossoms into a lovely little fecal pellet beetle. And they wouldn't have it any other way 🥰 warty leaf #beetle; #Chrysomelidae: #Exema North Carolina, USA @dradriansmith.bsky.social

The Common Dodder, Cuscuta epithymum, at Incleborough Hill in North Norfolk is a sight to behold. It covers the Common Gorse bushes, resembling some very silly string indeed. www.jeremybartlett.co.uk/2021/07/28/d... #WildFlowerHour
