⚡Key topics at #NIPHO26: @sascha_feldmann studies ultrafast spin and chiral light dynamics in halide perovskites, while Marcello Righetto investigates charge transport and recombination in low-dimensional halides and perovskite-inspired materials. 🔗 https://www.nanoge.org/NIPHO26/home
Following an inspiring program at #NIPHO26, the community gathered for a group photo. 📸 Excited to continue exploring advances in perovskite photovoltaics, photonics and optoelectronics, from stability to scalable fabrication and interfaces. 🔗https://www.nanoge.org/NIPHO26/home
Former Rowland Fellow Colleague and incoming Rice Prof Christian Reece visiting us for an #Energy Seminar at EPFL :)
The 36th Conference on Quantum Solar Energy Conversion - QUANTSOL 2026 - in Rauris, Austria was an absolute highlight. Amazing place and people, highly recommend!

The Impact of Chirality on Singlet Fission and Triplet Fusion: A Molecular Twist for Photon Management
Chirality has recently emerged as a new means to profoundly impact the properties of organic semiconductors for spin-optoelectronic applications. Yet, a clear mechanistic understanding of chiral structure–property relationships remains absent to date, particularly for photon interconversion processes such as singlet exciton fission and triplet fusion. In this perspective, we highlight recent work that investigates chiral structures for these processes. We discuss the various ways in which chirality can impact such conversion processes and suggest ways to leverage it to improve photon management for both energy applications and quantum information science.
