There are still a few spots available for the Twelfth Model-Based Neuroscience and Cognition Summer School, which will take place from 10–14 August 2026 at the University of Amsterdam. Be quick — the remaining spots will be filled on a rolling basis, so make sure to register soon!
New paper out: Trial-level sequence modeling reveals hidden dynamics of dual-task interference. We decoded, at the trial level, the sequence of cognitive operations people take when multitasking. We found that how cognitive operations interleaved across tasks predicted RT and accuracy!

Author summary In our daily lives, we are often required to juggle multiple tasks at once, for example when operating an in-car device while driving. While multitasking is increasingly common, researc...

I call that close enough
Applications are now open for the 12th Model-Based Neuroscience & Cognition Summer School (Aug 10–14, 2026, Amsterdam)! modelbasedneurosci.com Hands-on training in combining Bayesian evidence-accumulation models with reinforcement learning, brain–behavior modeling (EEG/fMRI), BayesFlow, and more.

A new #bmm release is available on #CRAN. With this version, #bmm now covers basic response time models. This release contains three new models plus several usability features. Here's what's in it 🧵 venpopov.com/bmm/ #rstats #bayes #openscience
This is gold, especially your preprint. It's like two research line from different background converge, here (elifesciences.org/reviewed-pre...) we show how single trial ERP aligned time align with perceptual/attentional and decision laws. Thanks for all the references, I'll take a close look!
New PhD studentship available! Come join the excellent @neuromurphy.bsky.social lab for a very cool project exploring how the brain learns to make decisions that are not tied to specific sensory modalities or movements. In collaboration with @seanfw.bsky.social and myself! bsky.app/profile/neur...

Very interesting! John Anderson et al. did a similar thing a few years ago ('Bump related potentials') but from another, more cog psych, perspective: act-r.psy.cmu.edu/wordpress/wp... see also github.com/GWeindel/hmp Maybe these 'bumps' are beta bursts!
