Hello, update here. More information has been released and this is somewhat, not true.
PvZ Hybrid received a warning from EA, and this resulted in other fan-games haulting their updates.
Plants vs. Zombies News
EA has recently DMCA'd various Plants vs. Zombies fan-games.
Some (but aren't limited to) include:
- PvZ Fusions
- PvZ Hybrid
- PvZ Ultimate (Needs clarification)
- PvZ Universe
