I was so excited to be able to meet a lion cub, and this is the only time in my life that I have been this close to that kind of wild animal. As an adult when I look at that picture, I think about the sad state of laws in Ohio that permitted that cub to be kept and displayed by a private party.
FYI, the child in the photo is me and the reason I say she should have been fed to the Cubs mother is that the cub should have clearly been with her mother. This photo was taken in a shopping mall in Richmond Heights, Ohio in 1980. Taking wild animals from their mothers for photo ops is unethical.

Completely keeping his cool, Voltaire (Saskatchewan, Canada) may have fallen down the back of the sofa cushions, but that is exactly what he intended to do. He managed to look almost dignified as he extracted himself too.
