@rikiwilchins.bsky.social 2026 Mar Advocate A trans man shares what life is like contemplating Idaho's new ultra-harsh bathroom bill. "Every single day, when I am out in public, I have to ask myself, do I feel like going to jail, or do I feel like being attacked?"
This man is a geniune delight to work with, and I'm a huge fan of what he's doing. AJ, keep up the good shit and ride safe.

Police love 'Public safety' cameras because just like body cams, they can use the footage whenever they need an easy pretext to cover biased enforcement, or to just do even less work, and will block the public from accessing the footage any time it might hold cops accountable for bad behavior

Endlessly impressed by how self-organized and self-regulated the Seattle No Kings marches are. A ton of volunteers, very few police officers in sight.

NK3 March downtown Seattle wrapped after a MASSIVE turnout that took over an hour to funnel over the finish line The organizers of this event were seriously on point, things were so much smoother and well planned than previous marches: We’re getting good at this NO COPS. NO KKK. NO FASCIST USA.

Mayor Wilson’s surveillance town hall recap: pro-camera narrative, snide remarks, frustrated constituents
The Seattle police union is openly lobbying Mayor Katie Wilson to keep expanding surveillance cameras—here, by implying that they never solved hit-and-runs before they got their own cameras 9 months ago. It's a cynical campaign that assumes people are stupid, forgetful, or both.
