When Peter Kyle, the loyalist’s loyalist and one who must surely know his Cabinet race is run once Starmer goes, is sounding this equivocal about Starmer’s future, seems a good hint that some kind of resignation statement from Starmer must be coming down the bend:
Relieved to see Starmer going. If you can't get it done (and have no inclination to do politics), then step out of the way and give someone else a chance.
As much as I've tried, I really can't get myself to care about Canadian federal politics much. But we have discussions 2-3x/day in this house about what goes on in Westminster. Can't help what you love (shrug).

The attacks on Ed Miliband, the one truly successful person running a department under Starmer, shows that the lack of seriousness in British politics goes way beyond No.10 to the press, the trade unions, the business sector.
