(1) On February 28th 2026, Donald Trump unwittingly dynamised the move towards renewable energy when he launched Operation Epic Fury (I know!🙄). Iran played its trump card (tempted to capitalise that T) and blocked the Straits of Hormuz by deploying cheap drones. The only card they need.

(4) So, we learned to sit up and take notice of our energy security, and the UK has renewables in spades! Wind, solar, HEP, tidal, even some geothermal; R&D is on the up. But why are we ignoring best practices?
(2) Why waste time, talent, effort, funds developing nuclear weapons when you can get the attention of the entire world and embarrass the president of the USA during Operation Epic Fury by applying such a stranglehold on oil supplies that price and availability becomes a problem, worldwide?
