Over the past four weeks I've travelled between the southern and northern extremities of Ireland, from Mizen Head to Malin Head, visiting lighthouses along the way. Here are a few of them; the first set is from counties Cork and Wexford, the other from Down, Antrim and Donegal.

I'm pleased to hear that the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea will be putting the South Bishop Lighthouse Fresnel lens on display. It will be fully rotating, with visitors invited to wind the clockwork mechanism!
