i wish there was a deeper meaning to me being enamored with stereotypical noire detective characters but i think i just like:
1) main characters who are a big failure but trying anyway
2) solving a crime but not being the police
anyone who sees the white house ufc thing and thinks “that’s badass” is someone i could never understand in any way. i would be horrified to share even benign opinions with such a person, like “water is refreshing” or “a cool pillow feels good to rest on”
