There is something terribly wrong about an economy that produces its first trillionaire, but cannot provide health care for its people. Or one in which the richest handful of families have the combined wealth of almost forty percent of the rest of the country.

*will not* provide health care ...
How much more will OSU students have to pay in tuition because their school has always refused to do anything about its toxic, abusive culture?
This just keeps getting funnier. They could've just taken it all down fast in the middle of the night anytime before the deadline and instead they're dragging it out into a giant anti-Trump civic pride event for the entire city of DC. A+ dictatoring going on here.
Sometimes - particularly during times of national crisis - brilliant legal minds are needed to achieve essential political ends. This is one of those times. That is why @gtconway.bsky.social should be in Congress.
I thought about this 2010 column today as we debated whether to put up our flag and decided yes — because, as I wrote here, "it's sometimes hard to love this country as it is, but it's easy to love it for what it aims to be." web.archive.org/web/20100706...

My case for why more NY-12 Dems should consider an ex-GOP high-profile lawyer aiming to remove Trump and prevent future wannabe kings. What good is any policy success, by any Congress or president, if the next president can unilaterally, illegally, blow it all up? open.substack.com/pub/historyk...

There are never more than two flags flying on my block on patriotic holidays, and it breaks my heart. Isn't it time for liberals to embrace the flag?

The illegal effort to put Donald Trump's name on the Kennedy Center has always been a metaphor — but, this weekend, it became a story of how we get through this.

The Kennedy Center is a reminder that we can win, it will be messy, and Trump will be petty
NEW: Workers are now putting up a curtain to hide the actual removal of Trump's name from the Kennedy Center. The crowd is booing and screaming, "SHAME!"
