This is why alignment on values and going for a ban is the way between teachers and students, the only real way. Anything else implicates either accepting AI or accepting surveillance (same thing at the end of the day).

If someone has such a breakdown in a collaborative relationship that this is necessary, either their genAI use is blatantly obvious or the lack of trust their collaborator has in them is so disruptive that they may as well go their separate ways.
