LFPME welcomes the measures announced yesterday - but they must be followed up with robust enforcement measures to ensure no UK entity is complicit in supporting illegal settlements.
This week along with almost 140 other Labour MPs I wrote to the Foreign Secretary demanding a ban on trade will illegal Israeli settlements.
Illegal settlement expansion, and settler violence, are unacceptable and against international law.

Yesterday, I was at the Queen Victoria Seamen’s Rest for the unveiling of the blue plaque for Kamal Chunchie.
This is a long awaited memorial to Kamal Chunchie, a pioneering campaigner and preacher on a building that continues his work to provide shelter and support to all who need it.
I joined the celebrations at Custom House Baptist Church this weekend for the official re-opening after 2 years of refurbishment.
The newly expanded building looks fantastic and provides a great facilities for the local community.

There has been an appalling rise in violent settler attacks on Palestinians; and settlement expansion, designed to prevent a two-state solution ever happening.
It is time for stronger action.

Today we went to see the new heritage centre and archives store based in a building that’s played a big part in our local history.
It will have facilities for local people and historians and for events. Looking forward to seeing the finishing touches and for it open next year.
