So at first the goddamn ballroom was going to be a few hundred million. Then it became 400 million. And then a billion. Now, fifty billion, apparently.
In 1980, the album Back in Black was fukkin huuuge. Music stores everywhere were sold out. People were getting into fist fights over available copies. I was with my mom at a GEMCO and they had a copy in their little music area! I immediately grabbed it and quivered until I could get home and play it

What was really unusual about it was its broad appeal. Everyone seemed to like it. At least the standard white bread audience. Definitely a moment in time that will likely never come again.
