MI PhD candidate and National Geographic Explorer, Ana Belén Yánez Suárez, joined the Pristine Seas expedition in Fiji last August. She gathered environmental DNA samples, deployed deep-sea cameras, engaged in shallow-water research, and spent time underwater in the submersible Argonauta 🛥️🐟
